How Flex Feed Works
Your Feed is the home of the Flex global community. It shows activities shared by riders around the world, alongside your own, so you can find inspiration, cheer on other riders, and stay motivated.
What appears in your Feed
Your Feed shows activities that riders have shared with the visibility setting "Anyone". Activities set to "Only me" are private and never appear in anyone else's Feed, including the Feeds of people who follow the rider. Your own activities always remain visible to you in your profile, regardless of their visibility setting.
How Flex ranks your Feed
Flex personalizes your Feed to show you the activities most relevant to you. We rank activities based on data relating to you and your use of Flex, such as where you ride, the riders you follow, the e-bike model you ride, and how the community engages with each activity. In practice, this means you will see more activities from riders you follow, riders in your area, and riders on the same e-bike model as you, with activities that the community has liked and commented on appearing higher.
If you are new to Flex and have not yet paired a bike or followed anyone, your Feed leans on the activities other riders have liked and commented on. As you pair your bike and ride, Flex also starts surfacing riders on the same e-bike model and rides in the areas where you ride. You can learn more about how Flex personalizes your experience in our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
What activity shows on Feed
Each activity in your Feed shows the rider's name, photo, and e-bike model, along with the activity title, description, and the date and starting area of the ride. If the rider added photos, they appear first, followed by a map preview of the route. You will also see key performance stats for the ride, such as distance, moving time, and elevation gain, and any goals or milestones the rider achieved with that activity. Tapping a photo or the map opens the activity detail page, where you can view the route on an interactive map.
Location shown on activities
The location label on an activity is based on where the ride started. If you want to protect sensitive locations such as your home or workplace, you can hide the start and end portions of your route on the map others see. To learn how, see Map Visibility.
Interacting with activities
You can like an activity, leave a comment, or share it outside Flex directly from your Feed. Comment and like counts appear on each activity, and the rider is notified when you interact with their activity. To learn more about sharing, see Share an Activity.
Refreshing your Feed
To load the latest activities, pull down on your Feed to refresh. Flex is a growing community, so the amount of new content you see depends on how many riders near you are sharing activities.
Changing who can see your activity
You control the visibility of every activity you share. If you change an activity from "Anyone" to "Only me", it is removed from the Feed and other riders can no longer see it, including its comments and likes. If you delete an activity, it is removed for everyone. Anyone opening the activity from an old link or notification will see that the post is unavailable.
Not interested an activity or comment you would rather not see
If an activity or comment simply is not for you, tap the "..." menu on it and choose "Don't want to see this". The activity or comment is hidden from your Feed right away and stays hidden for you. This is a personal preference, so it is not a report: the rider is not notified, and it does not count against them or affect what others see.
Reporting and blocking
If you see an activity or comment that goes against our Community Standards, you can report it instead, and you can block a rider so that you and that rider no longer see each other's activities in the Feed. To learn how, see Report an Activity, Comment, or User and Block a User.
