Sharing an Activity

Share your rides your way. You choose who can see each activity, and you can share a ride to other apps as an image or a link.

Who can see your Activity

Every activity has a visibility setting:

  • Anyone makes your activity public. It appears on the Flex Feed, and other people can view it, including on the web.
  • Only me keeps your activity private, visible only to you.

You choose the visibility when you save an activity. You can also set a default under Flex Settings → Who Can See Your Activity. New activities then use that default automatically, and you can still change the visibility for any individual activity when you save it.

If your activity is public, the map shows the route you rode. To keep places like your home private, you can hide the start and end of your routes. See Map Visibility.

How to Share an Activity

Navigate to the activity you want to share, then tap Share on the right of the bottom bar.

  1. Swipe to choose the background you want, either one of your photos or a snapshot of your route map. Flex adds your logo, and your key stats (distance, moving time, elevation gain, and CO₂ saved) to the sharing card.
  2. Choose how you want to share it:
    • Instagram story, WhatsApp or other social media: post the card straight to that app. Only the apps installed on your phone appear here.
    • Download: save the card to your photos album.
    • Copy link: copy a link to your activity that you can paste anywhere, such as a message or email. When someone opens the link, your activity opens on a web page.
• More: open your phone's other sharing options.

💡 Your share link follows your visibility setting. If your activity is set to Only me, no one can open it through the link. The link only becomes viewable to others once you change the activity's visibility to Anyone. Even a link you have already shared stays private until you make the activity public.

FAQ

  • What units will my shared ride use? Your shared card shows your distance and elevation in the units you have set in Flex, either kilometers or miles.

  • Can I choose which stats appear when I share? Not at this time. Your shared card always shows your distance, moving time, elevation gain, and CO₂ saved.

  • Is the image I share private? The share card is a picture, so once you post or download it, it is no longer controlled by your Flex visibility setting. Your share link, on the other hand, follows your visibility setting.

  • Does the shared web page show my 3D route? No. The web page shows your ride details, stats, and achievements, but the interactive 3D route player is available only in the Flex app.
