Record your activity, earn XP, and share your activity with the Flex community.
How to Record an Activity Ride
- Navigate to Dashboard screen by tapping Ride tab from the bottom navigation menu.
- Connect your e-bike, the Start Ride button is only active when connected.
- To begin recording, tap the Start Ride button near the bottom of the screen.
- When you're finished the ride, tap Finish Ride button near the bottom of the screen.
- Review your summary, add a title, comment, and photo if you like, and tap Save Activity button to save your activity.
Note: Rides will only record while you are connected to your e-bike and will automatically pause when you disconnect.
How it works
An activity recording follows your e-bike connection
Your activity is recorded only while Flex is connected to your e-bike. If you disconnect, for example by turning off the e-bike or moving out of Bluetooth range, recording pauses completely, including your total ride time. Your activity is not ended. As soon as you reconnect, your ride picks up where it left off and your total ride time continues.
Your riding stats follow your movement
Your Moving Time, distance, and other riding stats only advance while you are actually riding. If you are connected but stopped, your total ride time keeps counting while these stats hold steady, then continue once you are moving again.
You can only record one ride at a time.
While a ride is still open, you cannot start a new one. When you get back on your bike, Flex continues your existing ride, so finish it first whenever you want to start a fresh one.
Disconnections when an activity is recording
Bluetooth can drop for a moment on longer rides, for example when you park, step into a shop, or take a break. This is completely normal.
If you reconnect during the same ride, Flex continues your current activity where it left off, so a short interruption won't split one ride into several.
Finish / Save an activity
Flex will never finish a ride for you. Your ride stays open until you tap Finish Ride yourself, so it is completely fine if you forget to finish right away, or even finish your ride the next day. Your ride time won't be inflated. Your total ride time only counts while you are connected to your e-bike. Any time you spend away from your bike, including overnight, is not added to your ride.
To finish an open ride, open Flex, go to the Dashboard, and tap Finish Ride to review and save your activity.
FAQ
Why is the Start Ride button greyed out? Your e-bike needs to be connected first. Once Flex is connected to your bike, the Start Ride button becomes active. See Connecting Your E-Bike.
I forgot to Finish Ride. No problem. Your ride stays open until you finish it yourself, even the next day. See Finish / Save an activity above.
Can I record a ride without sharing it? Yes. On the Save Activity screen, choose the Only me option to keep the ride visible only to you. Public rides appear on the Feed for the Flex global community to see.
Will I lose anything if I delete a ride activity? No, deleting an activity won't remove your rewards. All calculated stats such as your Level, XP, EcoGems, Weekly Goal Progress, and Eco Impact will remain safely tied to your account.
